Laila Grace began with my daughter, and a desire to create high-performance skincare I would feel good about placing in her hands one day.

Motherhood Changed the Way I Saw Skincare.
Laila Grace began with my daughter. I named the brand after her, and our original formula was waterless by intention. I wanted an alternative to traditional water-based vitamin C serums — something I could imagine placing in her hands one day, designed to support her skin barrier, maintain moisture and target the appearance of hyperpigmentation.
It was a good formula. I was proud of it.
Then my son’s needs took our family into a very different season of life, and motherhood began to reshape the way I thought about care.
Over the next three years, I became incredibly intentional about creating a calmer, more supportive environment for him — reducing unnecessary noise, simplifying our routines and focusing on what genuinely seemed to help him thrive.
Watching him flourish with greater calm and simplicity changed something in me, too.
When I returned to Laila Grace, I brought that perspective with me.
I wanted to make it exceptional. High impact, with less noise.
So I started again, partnering with an experienced cosmetic chemist to reformulate the serum while keeping our original waterless philosophy at its heart.
Together, we created a sophisticated formula built around 10% THD Vitamin C, 2% elderberry, 1% bakuchiol, vitamin E and astaxanthin.
My daughter gave Laila Grace its name.
My son helped shape its philosophy.
